Can't get search to work with forms authentication

I have a 2007 site that is configured for forms authentication. On
the windows authentication side of the site, search works perfectly
fine. However, if I log into the site under forms based
authentication, search does not work. I have seen blog posts that
point out this issue, but I can't find any resolutions to the issue.
Does anyone know how to get search to start working on the forms
authentication side of a moss site?

I don't have much experience with the search function on in SP. My customers are
dead set on using Google. Have you tried indexing the columns of the form?

Let me explain a little further, as I've continued to dig a bit. I
have 2 sides to my site, the windows authentication side, and the
forms authentication side. On the windows side everything works
fine. On the forms side, I can get to the search page
(http://mysiteurl/search/default.aspx). However, I can not get to
the results page (http://mysiteurl/search/result.aspx). Even if I
don't run a search and just type in the above url, I can't get to
the page. So this tells me that it is not the results that are
blocking me, but something on the page.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
