Sharepoint Portal Server sends email notification with
sender address in following form

WorkspaceName@..._suffix

Looks like sender email cusotomization is almost
impossible as dozens of messages regarding sender email
and subject customization are still unanswered in several
newsgroups.

Sharepoint sender email format satisfies my implementation
requirements. I only need other domain_suffix to be
present in sender email address. I changed suffix on
server in TCP/IP settings, but still notifications are
sent with suffix which was present at Sharepoint
installation moment. Looks like old suffix is captured at
install moment and fully qulified server name is saved
somewhere, but I didn't find old domain suffix string
anywhere on server: neither in registry, neither in files
text content, neither in network settings.

Please tell me what is to be done to change domain suffix
on current installation?
What settings are used in generating fully qualified
server name for sender email in notificaiton?
