Can't Access portal site

Asked By: Jefferson    Date: May 10    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 768

I just installed Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 successfully. I then
went to the Sharepoint Central Admin page and clicked on "Create a
portal site" and filled in the required information. Clicked OK and
the
portal site was successfully created. However, when I click on the
portal link, I get "The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site
might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to
adjust your browser settings."

I tried restarting IIS and I've logged in as the machine
administrator
and as a domain admin but I get the same error page. Can someone give
me a hint on what I'm missing?
