Calendar web part

I hate having to ask a question that is probably well covered in Help
somewhere, but we've looked and clearly aren't looking in the right
place. We have had a Calendar up on our companyweb (WSS2) front page
since we installed. Nobody uses it, really it has no purpose. It just
uses space.

I have heard through the group in that a Calendar can be very useful
because it can (allegedly)

1) Be linked to the Exchange Calendar of the user displaying the

2) Display a holidays calendar from Exchange

Item 1) sounds great but I suspect that this is not actually the case.
Displaying holidays would eb at the very least a an improvement on the
blank one we have now. I bet there are other things we could do with

I'm not clear on your question  actually. Are you talking about the
wss2 calendars? They don't link very well to exchange  calendar. Or
are you talking about pulling a public exchange calendar  into wss2?
Can you clarify what information you are looking for?

In wss3 there is built in sync with Exchange calendaring.
