Calendar .PST file migration to WSS 3.0 Calendars

Asked By: Amolika Bhatt         Date: Mar 27, 2010      Category: MOSS      Views: 1033

Does anyone know of a solution to migrate\replicate a local user
calendar that was added to public folders in Outlook 2003 (Exchange
2003)to a WSS 3.0 Calendar in Outlook 2007? The calendar is connected
to Outlook 2007 as a SharePoint list but you cannot migrate or import
the .PST file exported from the local users calendar to the SharePoint
Calendar List. We get the error, "You cannot make changes to contents
of this read-only folder". The user, according to the SharePoint List
in Account Settings, has WRITE PERMISSION to the SharePoint List.

By the way, the Outlook 2007\Exchange 2007 is hosted in the cloud using
Outlook Anywhere. But Outlook 2007 is local to the client, whereas, the
server hosting Exchange 2007 is non-AD integrated. WSS 3.0 is AD
integrated and is local to the network.

This error that occurred in your Calender folder is due to PST corruption, that generally causes due to improper handling or damage of this PST file in your Outlook on your windows 2007. At that time one can use scanpst.exe for outlook on windows 2007, that is a application defined utility that is very capable to repair your PST damage and fix corruption as well. for more information click to this url..http://www.scanpstexewindows7.com
