Calendar Month Link class

Asked By: Colby    Date: Jan 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1801

I would like to change the font color of the month links on my
calendars but can't figure out what CSS class does this. Does anyone

For clarification, I'm referring to the left-hand link on the calendar
view that has all the months listed.

This link  has a reference to the css  classes, etc for SharePoint:

I don't see the class  for the exact item you're referring to, but maybe this
will help get you there?

I've actually been using this reference and it has
really helped; unfortunately it did not help with finding the month

Have you tried opening the page in SharePoint Designer - it has some
pretty decent tools for this...

Yes, SPD is what I have been using to edit. BTW, not sure if you
remember me but you helped me out a couple of years ago with some SP
service pack installation problems I was having. I think I was using
StacieMell for my Yahoo name. Thanks for all your help.

My old Style Under Cursor Content Editor Web Part should help. Check it
out here:

Step 1: Install IE Developer Toolbar

Step 2: Browse to page with calendar

Step 3: Enable IE Developer Toolbar (Arrow icon in Command Bar in IE7)

Step 4: In IE Developer tool, click the first icon (Arrow with a box)

Step 5: Click on whatever you want to identify.

This will pull up exactly that element in the DOM Explorer which will
tell you the class  for that element. And in the Current Style pane you
can see all the styles on that class.

I've tried using SharePoint Designer, the IE Developer Toolbar and
Cursor webpart and still am not able to change  the
font color  for the month  links on the calendar. I went line by line
through the core.css, calendar.css and datepicker.css and could not
even find any classes with that font  color.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

If you want to change  the color  of the Unselected month  links you need
to change the color of the following style in the datepicker.css file in
the 12 hive

.ms-picker-monthcenter a,.ms-picker-monthcenter
a:active,.ms-picker-monthcenter a:link,.ms-picker-monthcenter
a:visited,.ms-picker-monthcenter a:hover

To change the color of the selected month font  change the color of the
following style in the datepicker.css

.ms-picker-monthselected a,.ms-picker-monthselected
a:active,.ms-picker-monthselected a:link,.ms-picker-monthselected
a:hover,.ms-picker-monthselected a:visited

To change the background color of the selected month link  change the
selectednav.gif file color in the Images folder of the 12 hive. Make
sure to make copies of all modified files and store them in a safe place
in case you want to go back.
