Calculated Columns - Creating a site template

Asked By: Katlyn Sykes         Date: Mar 14, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 537

I'm having a problem creating a template out of a site which contains
a calculated column in one of it's lists. When i try and create a web
site based on my new template i get the following error.

"The formula refers to a column that does not exist. Check the
formula for spelling mistakes or change the non-existing column to an
existing column"

According to a post on the net, this is caused by the fact that the
"total" column gets created before one (or more) of the other columns
(which are included in the formula) f=get created. has anyone
experienced this before? is there a fix for this issue??

Other than re-creating the calculated  column, I'm not sure how you'd get
around this.
