Cache settings on a page layout

Asked By: Celia    Date: Mar 28    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1246

My entire production site is set for anonymous access and so I've turned on output caching for anonymous users. However my Search page obviously shouldn't be cached, so I turned off output caching on the page layout that the Search page is built on. It works fine until the next content deployment runs however. It seems that the setting is undone by the deployment.

Do I need to make this layout setting in my authoring/staging environment or does it have to be made just in the production environment? I've tried both and it keeps getting reset.

Resolved problem: the page  layout setting  appears to be transferred properly from staging to production.
