Building collabotation portals

Asked By: Larissa    Date: Jan 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 840

I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to add in another
collaboration portal. I was hoping somebody could help me out.

We have set up one such at portal as out top site like:
We would like to set up a second one like
HTTP://FirstPortal/SecondPortal

My understanding was that to get another such portal, we would need to
create a managed path. That was no problem, to follow the example
above I created a path and named it "SecondPortal." However, it seems
like what I have to do now is something like this:
Where "SecondPortal" is the name of the managed path
and "SecondPortalB" is the name of the site collection hanging off of
the manageg path. Surely there is some simple want to drop the second
portal right off of the first portal. Can some one steer me in the
correct path?

Add SecondPortal as an Exclusive Included managed  Path. That way you
will be able to add  one site  collection to the managed path  without
giving it a name. it will then be addressable as
HttP://FirstPortal/SecondPortal/.
