Browser enabled Forms on a hosted service

Asked By: Aiesha    Date: Aug 18    Category: MOSS    Views: 745

We are using a hosted sharepoint 3.0 service (on apptix)

I would like to make use of the browser enabled function to permit
users to fill in forms without a copy of infopath localu, but get
errors when I publish the browser enabled form and infopath checks
the site.

Is it possible to use these browser based forms for our employees on
a server that isn't ours? I have contacted apptix tech support but
they seem to know less about this than I do. Asking me to provide
adresses of Micosoft pages to tell them what to switch on?

The error is reproduced below

Microsoft Office InfoPath
This form template is browser-compatible, but it cannot be browser-
enabled on the selected site. This may be caused by one of the
- The server is not running InfoPath Forms Services.
- The necessary features are not available on the site collection.
- The policy setting on the server does not allow users to browser-
enable form templates.

This feature will only be provided when an environment such as the one that
is hosting your site  is hosted  on Microsoft office  Sharepoint server  2007 or
If forms  Server 2007 is installed.

The problem is you are running hosted  services.

Infopath forms  server is part of moss not services.
