My Browser

Asked By: Jay    Date: Aug 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 827

I have a new IE8 install on a fresh Windows XP install.

The restore disk is XP so I had to download and install XP SP2

When I point the browser to a SharePoint site, it load just fine. It's the
publishing portal default page and everything works just fine.

When I point the browser to a different site on the same server, I get the site
and all the content but none of the styles; it's mostly just default browser
text on plain white background. The site works for the most part but it's way
ugly. All the subsites have the same problem.

It's only on this one browser on this one computer. All other computers can hit
both sites and everything is okay.

It's like it can't get the style sheet or something.

Have you tried emptying your local browser  cache and/or doing a
shift-refresh?

And you might try manually deleting the IE cache. I've noticed some things, like
graphics, don't empty otherwise for 365 days.
