Breadcrumb permissions problem

Asked By: Jeana    Date: Jul 28    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1062

Using the breadcrumb web part on this page:

www.sharepointcustomization.com/.../webparts.htm

Expanded the zip to a folder on the WSS server we have (unshared standard
folder), followed the instructions, copying the dll from the bin\debug to
the windows assembly folder.

Changed the config file with the associated line from the readme.

IIS reset ok.

When I add the web part to a page (importing it as per the instructions from
the source location on the sharepoint server) that page then becomes
unviewable by non server administrators, it brings up the user/pass/domain
login dialog box. Even if the user in question is an admin of that site.

The part works fine for admin viewers, if I add a user to the windows server
admin group then this works.

I'm not sure what im looking for here, so any explaination or help would be
most appreciated. Obviously its permissions somewhere but I cant see the
difference between this web part and the other web parts I've installed that
work ok.

Any more info that's needed then just ask

Servers Windows 2003, WSS 2003, no service packs applied to either. Its
running on a MSDE database.

The users need rights to the sites above your subsite.
