"Best practices" for changing email notifications

Asked By: Sydney    Date: Apr 27    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1263

I've read some posts from a few of you all about some steps to take in
changing the email notifications that go out from sharepoint. My main
frustration with it is that it only gives you a link to the document, and it
doesn't give you an easy way to get to the document library so you can do
other actions.

I'm thinking in terms of a "open in web folder" or "view more info" that
will bring you to the document library and point to the containing folder.

Better yet, I'd like to put the same links I have showing from the
FoldersShowItems.xsl like Edit | Check In | Open in Web Folder | Show
Actions links. That would cut down on the administrative hassle a lot.

Anyone do this already and would care sharing their experience?
