Basic Web Page

Asked By: Quinton    Date: Feb 23    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 994

I created a basic web page and put a bunch of data on it... saved it
to the Shared Documents library and then about a week later decided
to move all of my web pages into a new Web Pages Document Library -
so I went into explorer view of Shared Documents and cut the file
and then went to explorer view of the new doc lib and pasted it
there... ever since then I don't see any data on that web page...
can I get that data back??

I did move  it back  to the Shared Documents library  but that did not
seem to help any - the page  still comes up blank.

Was the data  on the page  displayed thru Web Parts or was it directly
entered onto the page?

I believe it is was just a basic  page - not a web  part page  - I have
also lost the link to edit the page...

Your description does not tell much about the type of WP or data  but I would assume your data is not just the text that you entered into the WP but rather looking at external data to display.

If you moved the WP then this relocation will require relative URI/paths to be updated as well as any reference to GUID of the datasource (list, etc) that is not visible from new location (if this new location is outside the original Area or Site).
