Backup/Restore options?

I am currently using Backup Exec 12.5 and was thinking of using the
add-on option for Sharepoint, but I've talked to others who say that BE
doesn't offer good granular restore features.

I really hate to buy something else since we already have an investment
in BE. Any suggestions?

As blunt as this may sound... why not just use the built-in, free,
backup/restore functionality of SharePoint? Using stsadm you can build scripts
that will handle your backup needs.

The backup feature works very well however research restore before
counting on any product....Focus on the complete farm restore...most can
not do it without problems
