Avoiding subscirption notifications after reboot

I heard that if you want to avoid subscription notifications to be
received after a reboot of a server running SPS, it's not sufficient you
disable
urn:schemas-microsoft-com:publishing:DisableSubscriptionNotifications
property.

You also need to disable content sources indexing before reboot.

Can anyone tell me how can I disable content sources indexing?
