Avoiding "security" warnings when using Office PivotChart

Asked By: Grace    Date: Aug 12    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1752

There is a problem that have bothered me for long time and I still
don't have a solution.

I use the Office PivotChart webpart to chart data from some of our
LOB databases. Everything works fine, I'm able to connect to views
and stored procedures and to chart the data.

I always produces some sort of warning, no matter the method used to
get the data, it pops messageboxes like these:
a) "This website is using your identity to access the data source. If
you trust this website, click OK to continue, otherwise click Cancel.
b) "This website uses a data provider that may be unsafe. If you
trust the website, click OK, otherwise Cancel.
...and so on

Does anybody know how to avoid having these messages? There is any
way of connecting the Office PivotChart to LOB data that IE will
consider "secure" enough so no warning is offered?

Try adding the site to your browser's trusted sites.

The site is already in the Intranet zone.

just an idea:

Internet Options ---> Security Tab---> under Miscellaneous ---> "Access data  source across domains", select Enable radio button.

On the same Security Tab ---> under User Authentication ---> select "Automatic logon with current username and password"
