Audiences and Active Directory attributes (memberOf)

Asked By: Grayson    Date: Aug 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1286

I am trying to create an audience of people who are in a certain
group. I create an Property in the Profile database that links to
memberOf in Active Directory.

Now, this kind of works because I get the last group the person is a
member of. The only problem is, if someone is a member of many groups,
they don't show up because the profile database only recognizes one
group. I have the property set up as a string of 1000 characters.

Here is a code snippet that will return a Arraytable of groups  that
the logged on user is a member  of. That is either what you are
looking for (I think) or a starting point if not.

It uses the Impersonate class that is available from a number of
places on the net to avoid the double-hop problem. With out this
impersonate, the FindOne LDAP call usually crashes.
