Audience Targeting

I have a small query, probably a simple one. I have two areas on my portal for two different types of groups of users. I don’t want one group user’s see the other Area vice versa. Can I restrict viewing the Area for a specific users by targeting Audience, If so how?

You can additionally restrict  access through Manage Security for the area.

An Area is just a Web with some SPS specific  metadata and Web Parts. So,
you can restrict  access to an Area in the same way that you can restrict
access to a Web.
