Assign sharepoint gourps to site collection sites

I have a top level site collection site and a number of other site
collection sites. I've created a sharepoint group in the top level site. How
can I assign this group to access both top level site and other site
collection sites? Or is this impossible?

Site collections are the security boundaries in SharePoint. You can't create a
group in one site  collection and use it in another site collection. Each site
collection has a unique set of groups that are inherited by every site in the
site collection.
