Architecture advice

Asked By: Lavanya    Date: Apr 05    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 620

i have been working with SPS 2003 and his own WSS. I have a
collaborative enviroment for the bank where i work. Now i need to
create a project enviroment. So what if i install project server
2003 in another server, but not install SQL and WSS in the box for
project server 2003. Better than this may i link to the box where
SPS 2003 and WSS are intalled?, with his own SQL server. This
architecture is valid and recommended?. Anyone has did it?. Can it
be done?

Sorry for a lot of questions, i would like points of view from
experts before do it.

We kept Project Server separate except for having the SQL database on the same
SQL cluster where we have the SharePoint SQL.
