This is my first time to the site and I am admittedly pretty much a
beginner in the feild of WSS. We're an Architectureal/Interior Design
office and we're really excited about the possibilities of WSS from
what litte we know of it. We are excited about what it has to offer
but have very little time to teach ourselves how to use it.
We've recently installed our new server that came with WSS and are
looking or a template of sorts that another office like ours has used
so we don't have to create or pay somebody to create the site from
scratch.
We'de not only like to use it for internal day to day file storage
opperations required with multiple users sharing files on misc.
AutoCadd projects and we'de like to link it with our Outlook for off
and on site usage. We already are using Web Access but we want to
maximize Share Point and tie everything together. Our system works
just fine the way it is and we're very happy but the main thing we
want to utilize Share Point for is so we can have our major clients
access our site so they can track multiple individual projects on
some sort of Project Management program or custom programed
interactive data base. We also need to have them and selected
contractors be able to download drawings when projects are at
different levels of completion.
That's a lot but if anybody know anybody who's already doing this and
has a system in place that we could either follow, copy or purchase
that would be great!
