I've been testing my SPS site and I've noticed that authors whosedocuments were rejected have no idea that they were rejected. Arethere ways were I can fix this? Any webparts?
Sorry, SPS does not provide for that. For right now about the bestsuggestion is to download and install the Document Status Web part fromthe reskit online. With this web part, a user can see the status of thetheir docs.
try this link http://www.spsfaq.com/downloads.asp?postid=579remember you must have installed sps Service Pack 1.I tried myself but for some reason the author of the document rejected isn'tnotified back with an email.
thanks! i've checked the link and found out that it makes use of e-mails, which is sort of a problem for my implementation. do you anyother idea that doesn't involve e-mails?
For these files to work and notify the doc author whyit was rejected I had to enable the smtp service onthe server. I suppose you could modify the"rejectcomments.asp" to use exchange server but Ihaven't tried that. Works great when smtp is enabled.
