This product is pretty decent. It gives you a pretty good interface
for document workflow. There are some drawbacks, but since I haven't
watched the second webcast, I'm not sure if the following features
are explained:
1. Can you configure it to return the document back to the original
sender on approval? I know that you can send it to one location, but
say division A and division B both submit documents for approval. How
do you set it so that on approval each division gets back its
respective doc? A workaround would be to create 2 different doc libs,
but that could quickly become hard to maintain.
2. Say I need the go-ahead from two managers before the project is
approved. Where do I send it? Do I send it to one document library,
and give both people rights to it? Or is there a way to send copies
to both people?
These are just two of the many questions I have about this product.
It is pretty good, and even though it may not be a final solution to
your workflow, it does let you get 'hands-on' with event handlers.
