Applying WSS 3.0 master page to 2.0 site

Does anyone know if a solution exists for quickly applying a 3.0 master
page to sites that were built in 2.0 with a custom template? The
scenario is the 2.0 sites have been upgraded to 3.0, but the new master
page needs to be applied.
