Applying permissions for list

Asked By: Roxanne    Date: Oct 20    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1049

I have 5 lists for which i have to apply permissions for each list ..each user
group.
And only the member from that group can have access to add, edit or delete the
list for which they have access to.

Now my problem is i'm able to create the group of users and add the group to
each list, but when i open the site with one group user i'm able to edit or
access all the other list for which the entered user is not a member.

how to overcome this problem....my ultimate aim is user from one group given
permission to one list should not be able to access the other list for which not
the member of.

are you providing the custom list  permition?
mean that in the setting -> list setting-> permition, you have to
disable the inhareted permition and provide the custome permition to
the group  whom you want to give right and you also need to remove all
other group from the permition list.
