Application Template Issue - 40 App Templates from MS

Asked By: Mathew Nichols         Date: Mar 01, 2007      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 40

I'm attempting to use the Employee Activities Site template from
Microsoft.

4704-936F-BD19A6455351&displaylang=en)

It allows people to sign up for activities, etc.

The problem I'm having is that when an employee goes to actually sign up
for an activity, they get the famous "Error Access Denied, would you
like to sign on as another user" error.

I've tested this a number of ways and I can not give permissions to
people that will allow them to Sign Up for anything without the above
error.

Short of making them MOSS System Admins, it doesn't allow them access.

What am I missing??

After you have created the Employee Activities Site, did you configure the
site permission for your users? Or perhaps add individual users to the user
groups? By default, the child site inherits user permission settings from the
parent site, but It will not be a bad idea to double check. Hope everything
works out fine for you, and TGIF =)

Yeah, the permissions were good. So that's why I'm confused. Also, I
added the IT group and made them members, contributors, etc. ..etc.. and
it will now allow them to access the Sign Up page.
