Anonymous posts in a discussion board

I have had a request from a client that wants to allow anonymous posts in a discussion board? Is this possible.

Yes…, but I read somewhere that there’s a bug that you can’t do anonymous  replies to a post.

Anonymous users can have up to contribute access to a Site, List,
Folder, or List Item. They are never allowed to manage lists or sites.

Everyone must agree that anonymous  users are allowed. The Web
Application must be configured to allow it and even then the securable
resource must then be explicitly configured to allow anonymous access.
