Anonymous Access

Asked By: Meera    Date: Sep 30    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 635

I have a question about anonymous access. I'm in a team site and navigated to
the following area:

Clicked on Site Settings

Under Administration section, clicked on Go to Site Administration

Under Users and Permissions section, clicked on Manage anonymous access

Under Anonymous section, why is the radio buttons for 'Entire web site' and
'Lists and libraries' grayed out. My only option is Nothing. Is there anyway for
me to enable those radio buttons?

Under the All Authenticated Users section, I have selected the 'Yes' radio
button as well as selected 'Reader' in the drop down menu for the site groups.

I also noticed that when I go into a document library for this particular team
site. Under Modify settings and columns, under Change permissions for this
document library, when I click on the Change anonymous access link on the left
menu, that none of the checkboxes are enabled, i.e., Add items, Edit items and
View items. Is there anyway to enable these checkboxes?

You need to enable anonymous  access in IIS for the virtual server. Once that is
done the options should become available.
