Asked By: Marie Stephens         Date: Sep 23, 2009      Category: MOSS      Views: 261

I have created a MOSS 2007 site on Port 80 which is http://servername The web
site ca be accessed using this url
Now the client wants to name the site clientname.Parentcompanyname.com
The IT department asked for the FQDN to create a subdomain which i gave as
http://ServerName.Domain:80
Now when i try to access the site using the url
http://clientname.Parentcompanyname.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://clientname.Parentcompanyname.com it says I am not authorized to view thw
Page but the same url works on the server.
I have also created a Alternatee access Mapping URL as a Intranet zone for the
web application giving the name http://clientname.Parentcompanyname.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://clientname.Parentcompanyname.com

Not sure here, but try adding http://servername.domain as an AAM too.
Make it an internal URL and assign it to any zone you wish.
