Administration Database question

Asked By: Jefferson    Date: Dec 23    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 841

When you Start the Windows SharePoint Services Search
in WSS 3.0, would the WSS_Search_Databasename be
considered the Admin Content Database? If not, where
would I be able to find the name of the Admin Content
Database? I would like to try to disconnect from it
if I could.

Normally in a MOSS environment the "Admin Content" is stored in the database
called "Admin_Content_{GUID}". It really depends what content  you are after.
If you access the "Content Databases" link within the "Application
Management" section you can select the web application and it will list the
databases associated with it. You can also add more and delete them from
here as well. Hope this helps.
