Adjusting the Timescale in the Gantt Chart View of a Task List

I have a requirement to change the timescale of a Gantt chart view of a
task list. The default view is grouped by "week"- by "day". For the
needs of this project manager and the projects he manages, grouping
by "year" - by "month" is more meaningful.

Does anyone know how to change the timescale of the Gantt view?

While the "requirement" has become more of a "nice to have" than a "need
to have", I did come across the "Calendar Plus Web Part" from bamboo
solutions.

I haven't had a chance to d/l the demo it yet as I'm knee deep into
another project. However, I've got it on my radar screen to give it a
whirl to see if it meets the needs.
