adding Quick Launch links

Asked By: Raymond Bennett         Date: Jun 03, 2004      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 382

Can anybody point me to the easiest way to add links to the Quick Launch section of a SharePoint site? I don't see an obvious path, but I'm new to SharePoint, so I could very well be just missing it...Thank you.

The quick  launch bar adds the document or list at the left hand navigation on your team site. When you create a new document or list you have the option of selecting "Display this document library on the Quick launch  Bar" under navigation. Sounds like you did this and now you want to remove it. Here's how:

1. Document and Lists
2. Select the list you'd like to change the quick launch (i.e. document sharing, discussion etc.)
3. Select left hand navigation "Modify setting and columns"
4. Select "Change general settings"
5. Scroll down the Navigation and select "Yes" or "No" to display this in quick launch.
