I did this, this morning and I need some assistance.
1. Copy the attached icon to the SharePoint server's program
files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\60
\template\image directory.
2. Open the DocIcon.xml file, which is located in program
files\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\60
\template\XML.
3. In this file, add a line under the Extensions section for PDF
files. The line should look something like this:
<Mapping Key="pdf" Value="pdf16.gif"/>
4. Do an IIS restart.
Now as administrator I can see the images but no one else can. They
get a logon prompt for this to happen. It never lets them logon to
it. They see broken X's. What gives???
