Adding Custom Buttons to SharePoint List forms

I am in need of adding some custom Buttons to sharepoint 2007 list forms(new,
display and edit) apart from default buttons (Ok and Cancel)

can anybody guide me, is this possible to do?

You can use Microsoft SharePoint Designer to modify the list  forms (NewForm.aspx
and EditForm.aspx) to include additional buttons.

When I customise the list forms  using "Custom list  Form" from SharePoint
designer, I am loosing the attachment funcationalty of list item.

can anybody please tell me any work around or path for this?
