Adding Attachments to Blogs?

Asked By: Dejuan    Date: Jul 02    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2385

Is there a way to add attachment to SharePoint blogs when creating the
entry in SharePoint?

There is an option for allowing attachments in the advanced settings
which also places it in the view, but it does not add the attachment
choice to the new post. Am I missing something, or is this just not
possible?

Nope, it's missing. Attachments are actually called "enclosures" in
the blog world. Without correct support for enclosures, you can't do
nifty things like podcasting. The audio file in a podcast is actually
an enclosure.

If you're just looking to link files, one workaround is to upload the
file to a shared document library (there's one in the blog site), and
to make a link to it in the blog post  using the wysiwyg editor's link
tool.
