Adding an Alert

When I try to add/delete an alert to a list in a WSS subsite from my WebPart in
the Portal site. I get the following error message.

Message:
"The security validation for this page is invalid. Click Back in your Web
browser, refresh the page, and try your operation again."

you guys got any workaround for this??
