Added ADF file , but cannot access in the Business Data Catalog List

I am trying to access the objects(tables) from ADF file that I have imported in SSP.
Unfortunately the BDC List web part does not show the imported table when trying to access it from the application.

Please suggest as to what could be the root cause here.

I think this is likely a permissions problem. In the SSP ensure the user you are trying to setup the BDC list  web part  as, has permissions to the BDC application  and entity.
