AD lookup not working in DataSheet view?

I have several people lookups in lists that work fine in the edit or new mode
using ActiveDirectory (ie, the whole company), but in DataSheet view these
only lookup users in the site collection. I don't know a thing about site or
farm setups/choices.

What to do? Any suggestions?
