Accidently deleted Summary.aspx for SitesDirectory

Asked By: Eugene    Date: Apr 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1719

In a not-so-smart move, I deleted Summary.aspx from
SiteDirectory/Lists/Sites folder using FrontPage. Now I need to get it

Summary is no longer an option in the Select View area of the left nav
bar in the Sites section of the portal. It is not completely gone from
the server however - the Summary view displays on a different portal
running on the same server.

Will someone please help me get the Summary view option back?

For others that run into this problem, I solved this by creating a new
view called Summary (so it would be named Summary.aspx). Then I used
FrontPage to open the newly-created Summary view  and an old copy of the
Summary view that I wanted to display again. I copied the Web Parts from
the old Summary view to the new Summary view. It worked like a charm!
