Access through WebDav question

Asked By: Marcella    Date: Jan 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2195

From a run command you can access a WSS site like this:
\\servername\sites\sitename\documentlibraryname.

Is there a way to do this from a Unix box?

The WebClient service in Windows permits you to view WSS sites as \\servername\sites\sitename\documentlibraryname. I don’t know if there is a Unix equivalent app that works with WSS.

WebClient is just a WebDAV enabler. If you can find a tool that will allow you to mount WebDAV as a file system you should be all set.

This list may be able to get you started:

I tried cadaver 0.22.2 on my Ubuntu box, but it doesn't support
NTLM, which we use for our SharePoint environment. Supposedly, it
will work with Basic or Digest authentication.
