Absence Request and Vacation Schedule Management Help

Asked By: Fredrick Swanson         Date: Dec 30, 2008      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 1015

I am new to SharePoint and currently facing a challenge. I installed the
Absence Request and Vacation Schedule template and it is working just fine. The
only thing is I'd like to have the option of multiple email recipients in the
"Alert Me" section. Currently all the emails go to one email address when there
is a new submission. I'd like to have the option of selecting who gets the
email notification. Is there anything available that will do it?

I've never worked with that template; is it using something other than
standard Alerts? Normally you can add an alert (using My Alerts if nothing
else) and just put in multiple  email addresses.

Alternately you could just put in the e-mail address  of a Distribution List.

Just pick the name of an active directory list from the address  book in there
when you set up the alert. As long as you're the site admin, you can even
create alerts for other people (and lists of people)
