Able to post discussion as "Anonymous"

Every so often, people are able to add a discussion item to a SPS document
as Anonymous. At first I thought it was a time out issue that maybe users
were leaving the document open for more then 30 minutes on the screen and
the session was timing out. Lately, it is happening more often and right
after the user opens the document.

I have a simple ASP script that tells me the Users domain and username that
is also loaded on my SPS box. After the user posts as Anonymous I browse to
the ASP page and I can see that the SPS box knows who they are and that it
is correct.

Finally piece of the puzzle, one of the users gets two sets of discussions
when he opens his document. A picture of this can be found here.

As the picture shows, the top set up discussions has an older Win3.1 look
and the second version the cleaner icon based version that comes with SPS.
