2000 document limitation

Is it true that SPS will begin to slow down significantly if more
than 2000 documents are stored on one server? If so, how did you deal
with that problem?

I have about 7000 documents  on the server  and haven't noticed any
significant slowdown (apart from the fact that SPS is always slow).

We have about 160,000 docs and the search is just as fast as it was in
testing.

I believe I was told that this problem  was in regards to the number
of docs that could be assigned to categories. Do the both of you have
more than 2k docs to a single category?
