“The IntializeStrings method returned an incorrect number of
strings. Note that these strings must not be null”



Error message was a confirmed bug in the TR release of SPS.

The resolution or workaround for this problem was the following



1 Reset IIS

2 Open the Portal Home page in FrontPage

3 Close FrontPage and save



After this process you should be able to edit other area’s or team sites



I know this isn’t the exact same scenario as I assume your using the RTM versions of SPS and FrontPage?
